I posted before about how great Liquid Salt is. Well, I’ve been lucky enough to be able to contribute to the site, and my first interview dropped today.
I had the privilege of interviewing the super rad Thomas Bexon, a shaper/surfer that I really admire out of Australia. Take a few minutes and check out the interview here.

It’s no secret I’m a big Wes Anderson fan, so with the release of Moonrise Kingdom today I thought it would be appropriate to do a little post on camp style. At least my take on it. His story is set in 1965, mine is set in modern day.

I’ve started Lost at Sea as a place to post all the surfing related images and inspiration that was finding it’s way into this blog. That’s not to say The Skull and Stripe will be devoid of any of this type of content in the future; I just wanted a place to keep it all curated.

Dustin Humphrey was my hero. D Hump was one of the best surf photographers in the 2000’s. Every surf photo good enough to make me look at the credit line said “D Hump”, usually in knocked-out type. His work with Taylor Steel on the Sipping Jetstreams project was mind blowing. In fact, the photo book “Sipping Jetstreams” won PDN’s prestigious “Book of the Year” award in 2007, over submissions by photographers such as Steve McCurry and Annie Leibowitz. So because of his incredible, inspirational photography, Dustin Humphrey was my hero.
